About Me
My passion for photography started as a child thanks to my Dad who always seemed to have a camera in his hands. He pretty much documented our lives and family vacations. I don't remember the make and model of the first camera I ever used but I can still visualize the bellows and know that it used 620 film. Through the next few decades, I progressed from my Kodak Brownie Hawkeye through the "Instamatic" and Polaroid years.
In the early 1980's, I purchased my first SLR (plus a multitude of lens) to renew my passion. Life and family still took up most of my time as I worked to improve my skills. Fast forward through the early digital years to 2008 when I purchased my first DSLR, a Pentax K10D. I chose the Pentax over all of the other great cameras on the market so I could continue to use all of the older lens. I have since acquired K20D as my primary and use the K10D as my backup.
The last year or so has been spent mostly on 'phase 2' of my plan. We have been building a combination 3 car garage and photography studio complete with an office, dressing room and large closet for prop storage.
